I've got a simple request for you!
We need to build a web based form with one field, and then based upon the information in the field, direct the web page to a different location. (Easy, right?) The field response will generate a different link based upon one of the following criteria:
- a specific quantity of NUMERIC characters (ex. "5 numeric characters", or "16 numeric characters", etc.)
- a specific quantity of ALPHA-NUMERIC characters (ex. "10 characters, with a mix of digits and letters", etc.)
- a non-specific quantity of ALPHA-NUMERIC characters with a specific prefix (ex. "10 characters that start with ABC in the first three character position", or "12 characters that start with ID in the first two character position", etc.)
- a non-specific quantity of ALPHA-NUMERIC characters with a specific character string contained in a specific position (ex. "10 characters that have ABC in the third, fourth and fifth character position, such as 12ABC67890" or "5 characters that have B in the second character position, such as 1B345", etc.)
- if all of the above fails (i.e. the entry does not meet with any of the criteria) then the visitor will be sent to another link.
We would like the programming to be created in PHP, with appropriate code remarks to call out each section. (For example, for the code that looks for a specific alpha-numeric prefix, we would like remark statements at the open and close of the code, showing where this code begins and ends.)
That's it! It's pretty simple, for the appropriate experienced coder to bang out in an hour or so. If you are that person, we hope you're interested in helping us out.
