We are rebuilding a website and need to address image issues as we move to the new instance.
Problem:
We have about 2,047 posts in our current WordPress installation. Many have attached images that are extremely large or poorly cropped for the way the website displays. Also the names of the images don't correlate necessarily with the post. I would like the images renamed to match the post title. Also, the previous staff never used the SEO tools available to us to set keywords, descriptions and auto-linking in the post.
End Need:
All 2,047 posts in the new installation of WordPress with correctly cropped and sized images for quicker loading, correct categories, correct author, keywords, and other miscellaneous post settings.
I will create a video explaining a manual process to handle this, but if you can automate the process or even part of it, I am ok with that as long as at the end, all posts and details are correct. When doing it myself, I was able to get one post duplicated, images downloaded, resized, uploaded and details correct in about 3-5 minutes per post.
