note: This site is live so you will have to copy it (even to another area on the same server) and work there until the changes are tested. The last person who accepted the project worked on the live site and destroyed it. Even after being restored there is still a bug which must be fixed before the rest of the project can go ahead. In fact, don't bid on this project unless you can fix the bug first. Right now when someone tries to use a credit card as a guest on paypal, it often returns with either "something went wrong try later" or "gateway rejected a duplicate order." (see attachment)

Around January we launched a new magento ink and toner site: [login to view URL] The developer did a competent job but there are a few features he was unable to implement. Here is what we would like, if possible.

Magento security scan reports some vulnerabilities to be patched. Are these critical?

When an item list comes up on the screen, I'd like it sorted by price from lowest to highest so they see the single cartridge, the 5-pack, the 10-pack in that order. Magento seems to have that capability built in. There is a sorting function by name, price, etc. I just can't figure out how to make it work.

I really wish I could use sales@[login to view URL] for the emails and not a gmail ID but magento doesn't seem to ask for the login and password to the email server and for this reason the website email won't work. If we use sales@[login to view URL] as the sender, the confirmation emails TO sales@[login to view URL] do not get sent out. Emails to the customer do get sent out, but without confirmation emails, we don't know about the orders.

I'd like to have a comment box on the order screen which gets sent with the order email. I'd also like to ask how they found the site. These boxes are not mandatory to be filled in and do not have to be saved, jut sent via email.

We have flat shipping on the site. There is no customer choice of methods. We also have the shipping built-in to our paypal account. On our old site, the customer got taken to paypal where the entire order was completed, including the shipping. Then they returned to a thank you page. On the magento site, an order gets passed to paypal and has to return to the site for the customer to choose shipping. Since shipping is not a choice and the info is already in paypal, is it possible to complete the entire order in paypal?

When a customer places an order, there is a box to fill in the discount code. That would be a good place to put "Sign up to our free monthly newsletter and get the secret discount code" with a link to the newsletter sign-up page as target=_blank so they don't lose the checkout page.
