Add 2 portfolio designs to my existing wordpress

I have an existing WordPress website, I have a section for portfolios, I need to update how it appears by the filter used in the plugin. if you have a better way let me know. I would like to have a custom post type for these as i think that would be better. that way i can display them in a category like my articles are displayed. I would like to change the way they appear once they are clicked on, so that once they are clicked, a modal is displayed, inside the modal the title, images, description of the project and project URL are displayed. I have the design for this already. You should be an expert in Wordpress and php. Also implementing a design and expert knowledge of css and html 5 is required. The 2 layouts are attached in a link i will send after we discuss. In that layout, i should be able in the edit for the cost post type to add an image and it fill that section of the layout, with a text box for each image area for an image description.
