Database and Reports design

Our company is in need of a talented database and report building/data visualization professional to design a database, import tool and to build reports based on this data. The database and reports are for our education research project which is a set of surveys with multiple correlated questions designed for parents, students and staff in K-12 Schools.  We hope whoever we choose to work with will be excited to participate in a really exciting project that will hopefully improve education for students all around the world. We are team based in Hong Kong and Seoul, Korea that has a solid education and technology background. Successful applicant will have worked to design databases and reports with similar level of complexity, be english speaking and ready for video chat. The database and reporting engine will need to live on a public cloud service like Amazon S3. We would prefer mySQL as the database backend to minimize ongoing license cost. For the reporting service we, based on current research, found JasperSoft to be the best fit in terms of cost and feature set. However, we are not fixed on this and could select another platform based on advice of domain expert keeping in mind that this project is price sensitive and we would not want anything costing more than JasperSoft on S3.  The project consists of three key components: Design Database that will store data gathered from the perception data surveys. The data structure should be optimized for reporting and analysis Build interface (PHP Script or similar) to load data (from CSV files generated by survey platform) into the database. This interface will transform the data and allow for addition of variables that will serve as demographics to aid in analysis. Configure JasperSoft (or Similar) to create and view interactive reports showing visualizations of the data On request and upon signing a confidentiality agreement we will send a sample report from a preliminary project that we compiled manually using Datacracker.com. Whilst this is not exactly what we want it provides a good overview of the style of report we wish to present.  IMPORTANT NOTE: If you wish to bid for just part of the project (i.e for the database design and upload mechanism only that is OK.
