Hi there. I'm an expert at AJAX systems. What your task requires is a php script at back-end to measure the traffic whenever it gets called and an API to reflect the data in JSON format. Then the Jquery at front-end would parse it and display the results in real-time. I have done such thing on a simple chat application and could easily get your job done. :)
