This brief is to provide a portal for clients and translators to share work in a secure and private location via an existing Joomla (current version 2.5.28) website. There are two types of jobs the portal will be used for: • Daily translations • One-off translations Each will be treated somewhat differently, as specified in the attachment. • For clients, the new portal would be accessed via the existing Joomla website, with a Client Login link placed at the top of the site. The new portal would require clients to login, using registration/login details provided by my client. • For translators, the portal can be accessed by a frontend page hidden from others. The new portal would require translators to login, using registration/login details provided by my client (i.e. translators can’t register themselves). • For my client, the portal can be accessed by a frontend page hidden from others (or backend if necessary – to be determined during development) using standard login details. More than one client user can be registered. It’s important to note that the portal should ensure that clients and translators will not have access to each other’s details during the process. Clients will not be able to contact translators directly; translators will not be able to contact clients directly. Only my client can contact clients. Only my client can contact translators.
