Hello, I would suggest using encryption instead of obfuscation (which will always be easy to reverse). I can implement AES encryption. With this solution, the JS part can ask for password (or have password/key) hardcoded. Without the key, json data will not be readable. Hi, but the function that "de-obfuscates" in Javascript is readable by everyone. Right? All Javascript is readable, so you're not really hiding anything. Why isn't the page (which runs the Javascript) not doing an Ajax request to get the JSON? Why are you "getting" the JSON from file system as you are doing with Javascript? It's scary just looking at it. You're opening yourself up to all sorts of nasty stuff.
