We have a dental practice management system that exports letters to Word DOCS using the mail merge field features. For example, a dentist selects "Write a letter", selects the appropriate template from a window of files, and then this is opened and data from the application is populated such as name of patient, address, medical history. We want to produce a file / app that can be opened in lieu of the Word Template (but may need be called .doc or similar so it is seen by the system) and it then collects the merged data and passes this to a HTTP site or API. Other solutions include "catching" the file open command and accessing the data this way? It seems a simple problem but we are looking for solutions. I have a short video that shows how the system is working - apologies for quality but it give you an idea: [login to view URL] Please let me know your approach to the problem - or how we might attempt an interative approach to this ? NOTE: everything needs to be discussed and negotiated first. the default terms are placed to ensure such discussion takes place before job is awarded. In pursuance to "Milestone Payments" as in Freelancer terms and conditions, first milestone payment needs to be deposited on Freelancer within a day, ibapi is awarded the project, failing which the awarding of the project by the seller will be deemed void and the offer by ibapi will be deemed to have been retracted. not be accepted by ibapi. first milestone becomes payable after requirement analysis is done. requirement analysis is "Contract-style requirement lists" as defined under "Requirements_analysis" in wikipedia. Explanation: this is essentially an upfront payment. first milestone deposited before job is accepted and paid after requirement analysis as explained in message board.

My approach would be to make a program in c# and collect the data while the program is running send the captured data to a mysql database from the windows program. Naturally you will need to give permission to the application from the web. I would love to work on your project. I have over 10 years experience in IT. I have good experience in developing stand-alone and web applications for windows using C++ & .NET technologies. I've watched the video demo of the software and I think an customized add-on to MS word might solve your problem. But again, it would be better if you could show the demo of the software on a teamviewer or similar application to understand the scenario better. Regards, Charles.

see what i understand you need to retrive the database Now what we will do we will create a command line whichw ill send the trigger to your DB and at the same time it wil trigger to HTTP create a new table store it and flow the DB to HTTP to display. This is also one method to do .But most precise stuff can be done only when we can see the application and how does this work. before that might not be possible to give you correct solutions let us know to discuss and than we will do thsi work regards lalit

Hello. I'm an experienced Java developer, and I have an approach for this problem. I would implement a file change listener to a specific folder, which would notify the program that a new file was created and edited in a specific directory, parse the file and upload file contents to the program and send it where it needs to be sent. I had one project recently that used this technique to notify a server from a client that a file was edited in the specific folder and send over the data what was edited in that folder. hello, my name is Asaf Algawi, I'm a software engineer with more than 4 years of experience in .net development. I have several solutions to your problem 1. if you have the source code for your software the easiest solution was to add a feature which uploads the documents. 2. if you don't, the next best thing would be to monitor the folder holding all patients documents periodically, say everyday after closing time, or when the computer starts, or any other time depending on your work habits, then upload all newly created or edited documents automatically. this can be easily achieved with some windows service without actually interfering with your program or its code. these are the simplest and best solutions in my opinion. if you choose my services, I would develop the software as a .net application, with a simple ui used for configurations (where to upload, what time, etc...) hope you select one of them and my services to implement them. waiting to hear back from you, Asaf.
