Browser Notifications Consulting

Hello,

We need help and consulting for simple browser notifications implementation in our existing project (PHP based portal). In summary, we want you to provide us code and other settings/setup instructions that we can do in our own project code base and to the dedicated server we have for our site.

We need code/settings that will trigger Browser notifications to certain clients (based on the city they have selected in their cookie). This will NOT be AJAX based to call something via the web page, however we want some optimised solution in a way that even if our website/webpage will not be opened, or even if the browser will be closed, still we can trigger browser notifications for the selected (and not all) clients based on the city selection they have done.

Our understanding is that we may have to store some details about the clients and their browsers including the city they would have selected to our server. And then we can identify which ones have which city. And later on, we can send then browser notifications depending on the city in a way that we only send the notification to a particular set of clients and not bombard our clients/server with sending them all notifications etc.
