Automate button presses on webpages

I need to be able to automate the pressing of a button on a webpage that controls a lighting system. This lighting system is simple and has a webserver builit in which has virtual switches. The switches can have 1,2,3, 4 or 7 buttons on them. I want to be able to access trigger the functionality behind any button when calling the url, automatically They are accessible in the format http:<locallightserver>/<nameofswitch>.htm I have a raspberry pi, which could be used to host the scripts/urls that would open the url on the lighting server. E.g I would want to be able open url http://<myserver>/<automateswitchname>.htm?btn=1 - > which would then open that page and press button 1.
