API between Mailchimp and Bookeo (online booking system)

I use two web-based tools in my business - Mailchimp for database/emails and [login to view URL] for my online booking system. Both have published APIs ([login to view URL] and [login to view URL])
When a customer makes an online booking, he does not automatically end up in Mailchimp. Every time I do a Mailchimp email campaign, I have to do an export from Bookeo, add/alter a couple of fields and then import it into Mailchimp.
There is already a basic low level of integration available between the two programs - I can enable the appearance of a Mailchimp opt-in checkbox in Bookeo that a customer can tick but I have disabled it as many people didn't tick it and it only passed name and email. I want to pass the fact that they are a customer, the date of their scan and maybe some other info.
I have no idea what skills are required for this job as I am not a programmer!
