Make WP recent posts an rss feed to my html home page

I have website that's all in html except for the blog which is a Word Press installation. We want to create an rss feed from the wordpress blog of the recent posts, with a short snippet from the most recent posts text that will render on the html home page of the website. The site is highly search engine optimized, so we have specific requirements of how the rss feed is rendered on the home page. We must use an rss reader and javascript to get the rss feed to render on the html homepage. We are familiar with carp as an rss reader and would like to use carp to format and read the blog recent post rss feed to the homepage of the site, using the javascript function of Carp.
