Hello,
I am trying to add a landing page to my site. I have written a page template file in php that is working great. However, when I set it to be the site's default opening page in settings>reading>front page, the template reverts back to its default page template for the theme with the default header and footer. What I am looking for is a simple fullscreen slideshow with a name in the middle so when it is clicked it takes the user to the main site (already built). As mentioned the php file for this template is already made I just need to work around the default page settings.
