Customise WordPress Plugin (TablePress) to use external MySQL Database

I would like to have a WordPress Plugin (called TablePress) customised to use information stored within an external MySQL database which can then be displayed on a page within my WordPress site (page would need to be made full width so removal of right sidebar may be necessary.
The table that is displayed should be based on results returned from the MySQL database that match the currently logged in username. The plugin currently displays the table which is searchable, can be ordered by heading for each of the columns. It is also possible to change the pagination to increase or decrease the number number of lines shown
