(**Update from Buyer: At this point, I have several bids that have enclosed samples that lead me to believe that they have the answers that I need. So while I have not picked a coder yet, If you have not already bid you might save yourself some time.
Also, many of you included hints on forcing a window to pop to top, the bid is to do that as well as force it to STAY on top. Thank you )
**
This is for an windows messaging application which produces an critical alert/popup window. We need this window to stay on top of the Windows desktop ( the window is dismissed when the human operator takes an action on the popup)
The application was written in Delphi, and the technique suggested should work on Win 98/ Win 2000/ Win XP
We know how to make the popup window to stay on top of other popups of the *same* Delphi application -- what we are looking for is for the popup window to stay on top of ***ALL*** other windows on the desktop. In other words, no matter what other applications are running, the popup from our application with the critical alert should also be on top of any other window from any application. ( For example, this is default behaviour of the Windows Task Manager application that you can get to following ctl-alt-del and selecting Task Manager)
