This is additional information to my original request as I think it requires more detail. I want to: 1) Remotely install a piece of software (MSI) to a computer. Note: This software pacakge will also be assigned to the computer via GPO. This part is really not the hard part as I have ways to install software; however it may tie into the second step. 2) Trick GPO (on the local computer) so that it thinks it already received the MSI application so that when it does reboot it does uninstall the same msi application that was just installed. Note: By design GPO will uninstall before it will install an applicaiton if it is trying to install the same application. ------------------OR---------------- 1) Have something execute on a computer that initiates the software installation routine of what Group Policy does on a normal boot up. I'm looking for the mechanism that can trick the machine into thinking it needs to check if software via GPO needs to be uninstalled and/or installed without going through a reboot cycle.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional instructions, script, tool, hack, or program that can be used to initiate the installation of software that has been assigned to a computer via Active Directory Software Group Policies without the computer being reboot.
## Platform
Must run on Windows 2000 and WIndows XP Workstations
