I am looking for a firm that has multiple software, graphic, and web designers for a continuations working relationship on several projects related this project and 3 to 4 separate projects of the same scale. I am in the process of launching our core product followed by a series of modular upgrades to the core product. The core product is an employee scheduling and workforce management system. The core product and subsequent modules will be 100% run and designed to operate on the Internet via a web browser. The core product must be coded primarily in php with possible support from JavaScripts to fulfill a small amount of features. All stored data must be written to support mySql. The core product must be a system that allows each additional module to be turned on and off via a configuration file. This means that the core product will be developed into a basic blank shell that has a place for a header, footer, right, middle, and left pains. Content will appear within the core product based on the modules a customer purchases. As modules to the core product are added or removed the associated module contents will appear and disappear. Foregoing the latency of the Internet, server hardware, and other factors that the selected developer cannot control the database and its operation must be designed so that it stores and most importantly retrieves data in the fastest possible manor. This is critical as the core product and modules must be capable of handling a range of users from 5 to 1000 or possibly 10,000. This project entails four basic aspects: 1 - Development of the core product, the employee scheduling module, and an employee information module, 2 - Create three product graphics, three product graphics that look like a software box, one company logo, a very simple symbol, and three to five graphics for use in our website, 3 - develop a fully functional website, 4 - create a database tool that will run automatically that changes the data in the demo database. Any and all rights of ownership to any and all code, graphics, logos, and intellectual property created by the selected developer for our company will become the sole property of our company. Core Product\Scheduling Module\Employee Info Module: 1 - The Scheduling and Employee Info Modules will operate similar to the following scripts and services: [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] Free easy to access demos are available at these locations. Most of the features and functions in these two scripts will be included in the modules. 2 - I prefer all coding is done in a manor that is similar to the [login to view URL] site, unless you can describe a better method. 3 - Scripts must display and function in explorer, opera, firefox and mac browses. 4 - Scripts must support multi languages. Language selection will be made at time of logon. 5 - All script text must be pulled from a single language file. Each supported language must have its own language file. English will be the default language. 6 - Basic configuration file to control default parameters and controls. 7 - Administrators can define a custom css skin that control colors, borders, form buttons, etc. 8 - Admin area. Based on logon credentials, access to admin and user features. 9 - User area. Based on logon credentials, access to user features only. 10 - Groups. Based on logon credentials and group assignment access to certain features both admin and general user. Similar to the structure of Windows XP user and group permissions. 11 - Schedules and other information must be printable via the users locally attached printer. 12 -Script must be secure. Web pages must not be directly accessible by typing in their url location via the browser. Access to the script through a main logon page. Db access must be secure. Standard security code practices must be utilized. Certificates, LDAP, SSL or other methods approved by us. 13 - Script must have functions to export database information via: csv, html, plain text, ms outlook, and ms excel. 14 - Use cookies to remember logon, session timeout, etc. 15 - After logon, user is directed to a main control panel. Only certain features appear based on logon credentials. 16 - Automated email system. Generate email after: new users are added, deleted or edited-new schedules are added, changed or deleted-schedule trade-and other actions as necessary. 17 - Generate emails to remind users and administrators of certain tasks that x days away. 18 - Users can contact other users via email or lookup contact info. 19 - View schedules as daily, weekly, monthly. 20 - Database info must appear as quickly as possible. 21 - When logon page is displayed, admin messages are displayed to alert users of important information and other areas. 22 - Help file popup links. I will provide the text. 23 - Time cutoff to enter schedule info. Graphics and Logos: 1 - Info will be provided on basic design guidelines. 2 - All graphics and logos must be of the highest quality. 3 - Graphics and logos look professional as will be used on the website and professional printing and sealed, retail software boxes. 4 - Submit various graphics and logos designed until completely satisfied. Website 1 - Must be original. 2 - Include a header and footer section that is controlled by separate templates. 3 - No flash unless approved. 4 - I will include the scripts to handle the shopping cart and helpdesk sections. 5 - Create all necessary menus and links. 6 - Adding additional pages must be easily done by our company. 7 - Create various links for but not limited to: home page, help desk, products, industries, demo, contact us, screen shots, features. 8 - Create as necessary any buttons or fancy graphics for page links. 9 - Create as many pages necessary to complete the site. 10 - The most important aspect is that the site looks highly professional. 11 - I will include the necessary wording for each page unless developer is capable of providing assistance with writing content. 12 - The website will be considered completed when all necessary pages, graphics, and links are completed. Database Tool: The database tool will control the demo database for the core product and all modules. Anyone that access the demo has almost full control over the demo and can add schedule information at will. The demo will also have default information already present in the database. This tool will delete the entire database and replace it with new data. Since the core product deals with schedules the default information must occur in the present and future. This will allow the demo user to see current information and not have look in the past to see default information. 1 - This tool is an administrator type tool therefore, access must be secure. 2 - The tool is form driven and allows jobs to be created, edited, deleted, copied, and saved. 3 - A job will consist of database connection info, the tables and fields found in the tables, and the replacement data. 4 - Jobs must run automatically via cron or other scheduling system. 5 - A job will also control the scheduled interval. For example, jobs can run hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, run once, and every x hours. 6 - Jobs will allow the admin to select which tables and fields will receive replacement data. Each field selected will ask for replacement data. 7 - Jobs can be turned on and off at will. If turned off the job will remain on file until deleted. 8 - More than one job can run at a time. 9 - The tool will run and be accessed via a web browser. 10 - The tool must have its own db and script files separate from the website, core product, and modules. This will allow the tool to be used on other sites. 11 - The tool must be written in php for control over mySql databases. 12 - When the tool encounters time and date fields, these fields will be treated differently then all other fields. Non time and date fields will ask for the replacement date and simply replace it when the job is run. Time and date fields will first determine the server time and date. Next the tool will store replacement data that is x hours, days, weeks or months from the server time and date. For example, the current server is March 10, 2006 at 9:32am. I want to create a new database record that is 4 days from the server data at 11:00am. The tool will allow you enter a database record with info for March 14, 11:00am, text entry (Monthly staff meeting. - 13 - Once you have a working model I can point my demo to the test db and see if the demo db is replaced with the new date I enter. Additional Information: 1 - I will retain all US and international rights, privileges, copyrights, and ownership to the script, graphics and other intellectual property created under this project. Developer will sign a document affirming the above. 2 - Additional contractual conditions and requirements may apply. 3 - Included descriptions herein are not inclusive and serve only as a general overview. Additional requirements and specifications will apply. 4 - Developer will provide unlimited bug support. 5 - Developer will be paid upon completion of project. 6 - Developer will suggest alternatives to confirm that our current method of provisioning customers on our system and how this method will affect the way the script is coded. This will play a critical part in how the developer write their code. For example, should each customer have their own section and bandwidth provisioning or should a customers use common script files and joint databases. 7 - I have 90 percent of all functions completely defined. I have basic templates and layout designed. However, I am also looking for other suggestions and input. 8 - Time frame for project completion is not as critical as getting the functionality and look perfect. Therefore, the ability to complete the project fast is not a deciding factor. 9 - Please respond to this project quickly as I will be making a final decision extremely quick.
