Website redesign needed. 3 Coders will be chosen!!!

Seeking talented web developers to improve the appearance, operation, logical design, imagery, and information content of the current US Army Brigade Combat Team (BCT) web site ([login to view URL] ). This effort will involve the design and development of a complete web site, with the intent being to replace all, or portions, of the existing web site (the “PORTAL?? section is not included in this request). Please Note: This past weekend the current BCT site was moved to a secure server on the .mil domain. Because of this, some countries may not be able to access it. I have set up an alternate location for RAC bidders to view the current site. Access to this site will be given upon request. As stated, three (3) coders will be selected to perform this task. Once this task is completed, a second bid request will be posted privately to one (1) of the three (3) coders. This bid will be to integrate the best of the three (3) delivered sites into a final website. The final coder will be picked based on criteria realized during the initial development process. Please read the attached MS Word document for the specifics on this work. It is important that you read and understand all content in this document before bidding. In order to be considered for this work, your bid must contain the following: A. Listing of previous works depicting quality and relevance of accomplished website design and developments. B. Resume of experience and capabilities C. Programming D. Software E. OS / Environment F. Graphics G. Provide a time frame of when task can be completed H. Be descriptive on how you envision the new website. This is to ensure that we get 3 different approaches to the design of this site. ## Platform Web Server Platform: UNIX Web Server Software: Apache Web Server 1.3.12 Web Server OS: Solaris 8 Patch Level 15 Web Server Supported languages (ASP, PHP, PERL, DHTML, XML, HTML, SHTML, VBScript, JAVA, JSP, Java Script). Use of Macromedia Flash is also accepted. Supported browsers and versions: Initial consideration is identified as being Netscape 6.2.1 and Explorer 5.5 or later. User base: Primary audience will have DSL or better speed. Some users will only have dial up speed at 26,400. Target resolution is 800x600.
