I need people to beta test a new website, [login to view URL]
This is a website for tracking and monitoring academic publications: The person enters/imports the academic publications and can setup monitoring queries on sites such as Google Scholar, Libra, etc, to find new papers citing this paper. In addition, the user can set-up web monitoring queries.
The beta tester needs to verify that:
* The import process works properly for:
--- Bibtex sources
--- DBLP
--- Google Scholar
--- SSRN
--- Manual import
Obviously testing not only the straightforward but also the strange cases.
* Automatic monitoring process works properly:
--- Check that the website identifies correctly the Google Scholar entry for each paper?
------> When the paper was imported from Google Scholar
------> When the paper was imported by other sources
---- Examine the retrieved citations from Google Scholar, make sure that they match the actual results.
---- Test the keep/ignore/later process: If a citation is "kept" does it stop appearing again for this paper? Same if ignored?
--- Does the website identify correctly the "new" citations on Google Scholar?
* Test manual monitoring
The user also has the ability to add his own monitoring queries, in addition to the automatically generated one. Does this work as expected? Perform the same tests as in the case of the automatic Google Scholar Monitoring. Test each of the services (Yahoo, Ask, Libra, Bing, etc)
