A not-for-profit youth organization seeks a proposal to update its Internet presence and build an electronic community. Specifically, the organization’s web presence must:
* Be easy to maintain by the headquarters staff so that the information content of the site is current and timely.
* Contain a first class e-commerce portion of the site for our merchandise store.
* Be attractive to our target audience of youth between ages of 12 to 19 year olds.
* Must provide for a unique user ID and password for each Class of Membership; i.e., youth members, adult volunteers, officers, etc.
* Provide for a secure, “members only?? blog. The blog will also need to have oversight capabilities so inappropriate postings can be removed.
* Provide links to other websites popular with the target member audience.
* Provide both a public and “members only?? calendar. There should be a Master Calendar for organization wide events. Also, there should be the ability for each “chapter?? to set up and maintain its own calendar of activities.
* Provide a place for the sharing of videos, pictures, and other digital media within Chapters, Jurisdictions, and organization wide. This feature will be a “members only?? feature.
* Provide a public landing page to learn more about the organization, its activities, purchase from its on-line store, request more information, and find out how to join the organization for both young people and adult volunteers.
Additionally, the website needs to:
* Capture critical data from the field that is essential to the day-to-day operations of the organization.
* Maintain and store this data in a secure environment.
* Allow data to be accessed by the field in reports. The field needs to be able to enter and retrieve this data online and print the reports necessary..
All bids must include a proposed project timeline.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
