Google Maps

a simple asp.net control that uses google maps. The control needs the ability to: 1. Take in an address and just show that location on the map, preferably with a custom pin. 2. Take in a Start Address and end Address and Return directions and map. These are the base needs. Eventually what I want is the ability to pass in a start, an end address and also have address's I have in my db show up that are between the 2 with custom pins. Currently our address db does not have Lat/Long thus the need to pass in an address and have that worked out by the control. We are now revising this, we can stick with the above but in the end we are looking for: Several features, these could be split into several controls, or 1 control with a control type property which would allow the control to be used in several ways. Currently our address database does not hold Lat and Long information, so the ability to pass an address and get that info back to store would be a big bonus as we are adding these fields. Now onto the features, again this could be several controls or 1 control that made each of these functionalities able to work. * The? marker images? on all should be ones we assign (can be image URL) and a popup when hovered with a small image and decription fields which we provide the info for as well as a link we provide. 1. Pass an address, have that address show on the map. 2. Pass start address and end address have the map show custom markers on both start and end, also return driving directions in some way to be displayed (list of string, whatever). 3. Pass in a bunch of address, allow each address to have custom markers on the resulting map. Think like this. I pass in 30 address, some are restaurants, some are events I want to use a different image for restaurants, events etc. 4. We are trying to work out a way for a user to pass in a start address and an end address and we want to diplay the driving directions, but also all address's we have between the start and end points to have a marker on the resulting map...because we have many address and no lat / long at this time we are not sure how to do this yet. I realize this is more work, but all functionality we require is simular so we are now making this 1 project / bid so the same person can do the whole shot. ## Deliverables The control should be theme compatible via simple css. The map needs to be able to be sized as well as driving directions.
