1. READ THIS CAREFULLY
2. Our current corporate website is html-based. Each portfolio entry is a html file. (I.e. Browse through the entries at [login to view URL]). The portfolio section is structured in 4 categories, Interactive, Print, Audio, Video. We find it hard to add, change, delete portfolio entries, because we need to create a new html file for the new entry and change the rest of the html files to link the new one.
3. We need a simple content management script written in php that uses mysql database and template based variable substitution.
Details:
- MySQL database with table containg the portfolio entries. Each entry has several fields, like title, description, client...
- Admin Tool to easily add/erase/edit entries in the database.
- Script that generates the pages, by taking the fields for the specific entry from the database, and substituing the {xxx} variables in the flat template file.
The mechanism is: let's say it has been called the script like this [login to view URL] The script takes from the database the field data for the entry=20 in the category=Interactive, it parses the template file for that category (will be 4 template files, one for each category), and it changes the {xxx} variables with the fields taken from the database. For example, the {client} variable in the template it is changes into "Client: $client".
You can take a look on this sample template:
[login to view URL], and on this current html entry [login to view URL]
You can find there, in the [login to view URL] the variable/fields and details about each one.
I guess this is all. I hope u understand what you have to do. It's quite simple.
I need a sample to show me that you understood exactly what you have to do.
I do not need already made Content Management Systems. I need one developed exactly for my needs, for my 4 Portfolio Categories. That's all.
