The point of the website is to allow users to find great deals on Amazon.
It must compare the Amazon prices to price trends of recently sold products on eBay.
Ultimately the website will display deals on Amazon that can be bought and resold on eBay for a profit.
Similar to [login to view URL] the website should track amazon price drop and historical price data.
After finding profitable deals, the results will be displayed and will be filterable by category, expected profit by %, expected profit by amount.
The website will find these deals for users in the US and the UK. So Amazon.com--->[login to view URL] & Amazon.co.uk-->eBay.co.uk.
My preference is to have this written in php but would also be ok with python for all/part of the project.
The website should allow users to login and track individual product prices in their account. There should be the option to receive an e-mail if the price of these products drop by more than a user specified percentage.
Generated links to the products on amazon should be able to include an amazon affiliate id.
This may involve ongoing additional work to continue to update and improve the website. This work will be at an additional agreed rate of pay.
The absolute vital purpose of the website is to allow a user to find a product on amazon with enough potential profit margin for resale on eBay. To achieve this we really need to ensure accuracy. We need to effectively calculate the likely sale price on eBay using recent historical data and any other way you can think of to improve data quality.
The website should be minimalistic and focus only on the core objectives. No need to bulk it out with additional features at this stage. I'm looking to get a minimum viable product.
