For this assignment, you will explore a simulation tool for a nanotechnology of your choice. In classwe have examined/will examine:  Nanowire FET  Carbon Nanotube FET  Quantum Dots/Quantum Cellular Automata (QCA)  Single-Electron Transistors(SETs)  Memristors  Magnetic Tunnel Junction (MTJ)  Spintronic Devices  Resonant Tunneling Devices  Molecular Electronics  Microfluidics First, choose one of the above nanotechnologies to study. Next, find a simulation tool to examine the performance characteristics of the technology. You may find a tool using nanoHUB or you may find a tool from other online resources, e.g. Spice models, Java applets, etc. Deliverables With the simulation tool of your choice, obtain:  An I-V curve (or input-output waveform) characterizing the device’s performance And either obtain:  Determine the current or power when the device is active (e.g. active current or on-current)  Determine the current or power when the device is inactive (e.g. standby current or off-current) Or obtain:  An input-output waveform demonstrating the use of the device in a logic circuit  A schematic of the above logic circuit Project and extra-credit project  Each student is required to select 2 devices for the term project. (100pts)  50 points more for extra-credit project. Student is required to take one more device to simulate (50 pts) Report and Submission Type a report summarizing your findings for this homework:  First, provide a brief introduction to the nanotechnology you selected to study  Provide an explanation of your use of the simulation tool for this nanotechnology. You must cite any references you use.  Explain the deliverables in your report. Be descriptive in your report and usenumerical comparisons when appropriate.  Lastly, provide a conclusion of your findings  You must cite any references used or students consulted
