Consultant needed - Matching and grouping using Mysql

This is a very small job for a person who truly understands MySQL. Need someone with extensive data manipulation skills to help me define the software flow required in order to group incoming data entries into related events. The data involves two tables (possibly three), which contain error reports being sent from various devices on a global intranet LAN. The error reports contain location based data. Required is to use the special MySQL functions to match and near match the data in order to group errors into events. -MUST understand how to determine and document the process -MUST understand how to document the process so that a programmer can then build the required software.
