My goal: regularily update my mySQL-db with csv-data created from R. Given situation: - I have a R-script that generates a *.csv output. - This output is used to update a master-csv. - The [login to view URL] is then uploaded into a truncated mySQL-db via phpMyAdmin. - the [login to view URL] contains an empty column for the db to fill in an auto-incremented id. - the [login to view URL] represents the current state of the db. Questions: - is csv the best format for transferring data between R and mySQL or is there a better one? - Which configurations do I have to apply in R to the csv-file (or better format) to preserve data integrity? - The reason I truncate the db beforehand is to re-create the auto-increment for the new output-data. Is there a better solution?
