Update ios App to bring Firebase from background thread to foreground

I have a ios app that worked perfectly on ios 11.0, written on swift 3.0 and release on 2017 November, however with the new ios 12.0 release it seems to be crashing due to firebase connectivity issue. I think the issue is its not allowed to send/get device token from the firebase in a background thread. i can provide you the full source and i need to get this bug fixed as soon as possible.
