Powerfull computer needed for producing graphs for a 90's matlab simulation!

I have an MSEE specializing in DSP (time series, Speech, RF Modeling), and Image processing. I do my work in MATLAB. Do you need a bank of computer processors or will migrating to GPU be enough speed up?
