Fixing potential bug - Magento

We may have a potential bug issue on our Magento e-commerce store.

Every time when we create a new category and when we add a product to this category, the product will not be shown on the front end, even though we have flushed the cache on Magento and cleared cache browser.

There is no problem adding new products to existing categories.

However, we've noticed that if we put a / behind the URL for the new category, everything seems to work fine.
