I coach youth baseball in Ga. During games with rain, I am constantly wiping off the baseballs with a towel after a few pitches. I need a chemical engineer to create a spray for waterproofing baseballs. Before each game, the baseballs are coated for five seconds. The spray must repel water like wax on a car. It must also not make the baseball heavy or discolor it.
There are several waterproofing sprays but none dsigned or marketed for baseballs/softballs and the leather it protects. Would be a great product for sports stores.
