Hello! I am seeking an Outbound Proxy server to be installed on one of my servers.. The main purpose for it is that the ISPs here in my country blocked the SIP protocol with all of its related ports so we have tried to change the default ports from 5060 to any other with changing the RTP but did not workout, tried to use the VPN solutions, it's works but it's unstable and leads to a noticeable voice quality issues. So I have searched around and found that there is something called Outbound Proxy Server that would mainly bypass the ISP's VoIP blockage before sending the signals to my Elastix or any SIP server. In Order to Award you, YOU MUST HAVE deployed this already and you MUST provide me with the IP address of your outbound proxy server and use it on my ZoIPER or XLite client and see that my extension is registered and calls being sent out with no voice quality issues. I would like to inform you, based on my experience in hundreds of voip termination and overseas trunk experience, outbound proxy is not a option to solve your problem, proxy definition is different in VoIP it doesn't mean something like doing proxy for voip signalling or media. it can be just a signalling server that is handling one or more media servers for large scale voip solutions. they only possible solution to bypass sip and rtp filtering in your country and also many other middle-east countries is sing openvpn, and there is different models to implement that. that's what we're doing on many projects and all working without issue.
