We have two servers here. They need to be set up as one master and one slave.
We need, based on the latest SAMBA server package, a
- windows domain controller
- active directory
- DNS
- DHCP server
We will install CentOS 6.4 or any other linux distribution according to your instructions. You will write a proper documentation for this basic setup (until OS is up and running, access from outside by SSH is enabled, IPs are MANUALLY set correctly according to our specification).
After that, you get access to both servers from outside by SSH and need to complete the installation. Both servers (one master one slave) run as fully redundant servers. We will perform tests in the end where we plug off one, make changes and tests with the remaining and plug on the one again to see how it is becoming syncronised again.
Finally, you will write a documentation about our setup, including but not limited to:
- how to make changes, such as IP addresses, domain-name, adding/removing shares, adding/removing users, chaning access rights, groups etc
- how to set up the SAMBA and the packages (basically describe the work you have done, step by step)
- how to maintain the servers, keeping it up to date
To start, you will write a document specifying what you need to know from us in order to set it up and do your work.
