Optimiser script for Energy Modelling program

We are seeking a programmer to develop scripts to automate our interaction with a residential energy modelling and rating software. We typically apply the software to buildings which may consist of numerous individual models, each of which must be separately modelled. We are looking for scripting software to automate opening the software, editing of a set variable in an existing file, calculating and extracting results, and saving the file with a new name. We have developed a flow chart of the actions that we currently undertake which we would like to automate. Ideally, the script would be written in Python such that we can review your work, provide feedback and adjust the code as required. Note that the software is written in Java; whilst it is a closed source software, the .jar and .class files can be easily accessed. We will provide you with the software, the flow chart of actions and with some sample files for testing once the project is awarded. On completion to the satisfaction of management there is the possibility of future contracts to add additional features / automate interactions with other industry websites and internal processes.
