I have a JAR file and it depends on 5 different text files. The JAR file read the text files and give the result. The only problem I have is that I want to hide 3 text files (out of all 5) so that no one can see it. Kindly provide me solution about how should I add these text files in-to the JAR package. If someone knows JAR-TO-EXE tool so that the text files are hided in-to the EXE then it is acceptable too. Here is the link to state how to add dependent text files to a jar package ([login to view URL]). After the freelancer follow this procedure, he is then requested to convert the specific JAR to a secure exe so that no one is able to see the 3 text files in the package. The two other text files should be visible in the same directory where exe resides. The files will be delivered to the selected candidate.

I have two solutions in mind: - Embed the hidden text file into the JAR file itself (if read only). - Use a JAR to EXE wrapper (exe4j is a preferable choice) to secure your text files. Hello There, I am expert in Java. When i was developing a project i had a same type of error . In my case there was a file of report which was used by the Jar file to generate a report. So i packaged that file in Jar and made a package so on double clicking it the jar was successfully running which was able to access the dependent files from jar file. Let me know ur thoughts regarding the same. Thanks

Hi, This is fairly easy and I will bea able to do this within a few hours since IDEs I use come with a packager for java-to-exe. I have done something similar to this before as well as the reverse (getting the code from the jar and/or exe). If you like I could also go with an encryption approach withh the 3 stated files for added security. An exe file afterall can still be unpacked.
