Place into Adobe InDesign format a "How To" Sailing Book for Publishing

This book is a collaborative effort I'm organizing to include articles by many champion sailors who will select specific how to's to write about such as rigging tips, sailing tactics, equipment descriptions, history of the Sunfish Class, personal health care and training, etc. Most articles will include hi res color photos or artwork/diagrams. I will organize the material so that the book has a logical flow and will write the text between topics. Nathaniel Philbrick, famous author and Sunfish champion, has agreed to write the Foreword. I was an Adobe PageMaker user but have no clue about how to use Adobe InDesign which, I understand, is now the preferred software by printers for large print jobs like this. I usually format text using MS Word. But I don't like Word for including photos, etc. I prefer MS Publisher for publications that include design elements such as photos that are combined with text. Attached is a sample two pages that I sent to the Contributing Editors so they have an idea of how their biography and content might appear. The book will most likely be more than 200 pages using an 8 1/2 x 11 size page. I've set January 5, 2024 as their deadline for getting articles, photos and artwork to me. But I think that's a bit too ambitious. So far, I haven't even heard from all the Contributing Editors re. which topics they want to write about.
