Flex Barcode Import Clone - using Amazon API

We need a tool that allows users on our site to scan barcodes via their webcam or isight camera (mac) and then use the barcoded to pull the data from amazon into our users catalogs. Items that would be need to be searched for are music, books, and media (dvds). (Budget is negotiable) here are a few sites that have this tool - but none of the people have released the code.
