Currently, I have implemented a car simulator in Unity3D (you can send the car speed and steering angle to control the car), and an opencv-based lane detection program from which you have the lane departure value and approx. lane curve value. I need you to implement a steering controller which enables the car to follow the lane (in the simulator). You may implement this controller describe in this paper (in the attachment below). What you need to do 1) coding task: the implement using Python(the best) or M-script in MATLAB, take the current "d" and "c" as input, and the steering angle as output; 2) tuning the controller so that it can make the car follow the lane in my simulator 3) explain your work (I am going to write a report)

This problem is considered as a path following problem. Fortunately, I was just solving the same problem but for an aircraft heading, which is pretty much the same concept. I can send you the simulations I've done on matlab so you will see how the aircraft follows the path.

I worked on many controllers designs, I know z transformation mathematics, and know how to tune controller in Matlab, using some toolboxes. Also you can expect great communication and I will make sure that you get what you want.

I work on Guidance and control algorithms for UAVs, implemented in Simulink and did some work on autonomous ground vehicle project developing path following algorithms.
