Hi, I'm an electronic engineer with more than 5 years of experience in embedded systems development. I've decided to apply for the project as I have previous experience in working on similar projects as well as good knowledge on working with WiFi enabled IOT devices. For this project we can use a stepper motor to turn the table because we need a 1/8 of precision for one round. We can easily do it with a stepper motor. And more importantly, I would suggest using NodeMCU as the microcontroller because it has an embedded WiFi SoC. So we won't have to worry about using separate modules for WiFi. WeMos D1 R2 also a good solution on the same concept. I would like to know when you said the feeder has to be controlled from a distance, is it from a remote location or a location on the same network? I'm asking because if we need to control from the outside network, we will need to have a cloud service to pass the messages over the internet. (Not to worry that we can get a free service just to pass the message). I could develop a small android app if you need so you can get a visual effect as well.
