STUDENT PROJECT - MASTERS PROGRAMME - CONVERT EXCEL SURVEY TO ON-LINE FORMS, DATABASE AND REPORT GENERATION. I have a very long EXCEL questionnaire to collect data from corporate teams. It is also available as Google Forms. I want to build a simple version that can be used on-line and add some scripting to automate workflow. if the tasks cannot all be done in Google, then look at tools like ZAPIER. The current questionnaire is broken down to 10 smaller sets of grouped questions. The answers from earlier Forms are to be used to: - populate data and pick lists in later Forms - initiate multiple copies of a Form for repetition of certain data gathering activity Reports are currently made by mail-merge with Word docs, using fields from the Excel / Google Forms. All fields from the database are available in a file export/download as CSV file format. The anticipated steps in using the system are: ADMIN - copy a fresh version of the system, Forms, scripts to a new G:drive ADMIN - upload initial data, up to 2,000 records, up to 200 fields per record. This is used to make the first pick-lists used by later forms. ADMIN - initiate a data collection project by completing the next two (2) forms. These collect project baseline data. ADMIN - delegate the next five (5) data collection forms to named multiple respondents. RESPONDENTS - complete five (5) data collection forms ADMIN AND RESPONDENTS JOINTLY - complete the next three (3) data collection forms. One of these forms is to be repeated N x M times, where N, M are determined from answers to the earlier forms. For example, the Form could be used 10 x 20 = 200 times with individual labelling for each repetition taken from previous answers. SYSTEM - automatic calculations using certain data fields SYSTEM - export/download data fields and calculated results in CSV format for merge to Reports and calculations. I can provide samples to selected Bidders during discussion, to aid in estimating effort. There may be an option in about three months to bring the calculation and report templates into the database, allowing further automation. Payment - we can agree milestones for staged delivery and set up on Google Drive.
