They are rather clear (of course, some questions always arise during development !). A stand alone Access database should be enough in covering your needs. Hi there. I can design a similar database application in Excel instead of Access. I would be a lot more flexible and would be developed in relatively less time. Besides its maintenance and upgrade would be a lot more easier than an Access db. Kindly discuss if you are interested. Regards. Usman.

Hello, I have carefully read your requirements and understand you wish to have a software that can manage the inventory of your food stock for the chef as well as calculate prices based on certain parameters. The software should also be able to find the expenses on food based on qty in the beginning and end of the month. There are finer details that we can discuss over chat I propose to make a neat windows application that would allow the chef to enter inventory, costs etc through a form based user-interface. very easy. Reports can be generated and printed as desired. Technology, i use MS Access database for back end, and VB.NET for front end user interface. Perhaps they'd better be listed: - Is this application (from your description it seems like a standalone application) going to be run on more than one computer? - If so... is there a network in place? - Are there already MS Access programs installed on these computers? - Am I going to receive all the needed information in advance so I can fully organize before I start (it normally takes less time for a project to evolve with all possible information gathered at the beginning) Perhaps I can see some of the vision behind the application but I would really love to talk about that too. Every new envisioned and discussed issue may generally later on become recognized as a very GOOD IDEA. But as such it's also better to be thought of at the beginning of a development process. But normally as things develop, there's always something to add or deduct from the original vision. As I'm afraid, bids any lower than the max bid, offer more hidden costs or perhaps less "shiny" msaccess app. Doing something quickly isn't my style as it usually bring forth many troubles and repairs are needed afterwards. But... perhaps I'm mistaking and other bidders are truly professionals and will do the trick. I'm new on freelancers page. I will have to tell you more about me and my apps in another letter.
