Convert documentation to Markdown on Github - Hugo

We have a documentation website (html) with 60 pages.
We need to convert these pages in Markdown format for our new system (static documentation website: [login to view URL]). There are many images that will need to be transferred.
To do this project, you NEED to know Git and Github.
Some knowledge of Hugo is preferred but not a must.
