Product Technical Director The DevFactory Product Technical Director role pays $30/hr ($1500 fixed price payment if your trial performance leads to a successful hire). Please note that we require signup or an existing affiliation with an approved staffing and payment platform that charges a percentage fee on your gross earnings that will impact your net payment. The pay rate for United States citizens and permanent residents is $24/hr to cover W-2 processing. This is an exciting role for an enterprise software guru to be the Product Technical Director for one or more application development platform companies within Versata’s large (and growing) portfolio of bestin- class enterprise software companies. Your strength as a communicator and true evangelist will ensure we deepen customer relationships and convey the excitement of our product vision, our newest releases, and our enhanced support programs. ? Your depth of product knowledge will allow you to create compelling artifacts and demonstrations around our products and allow you to engage our customers in deep and detailed technical conversations. ? Your product insights will ensure that our products become bionic (better, stronger, faster) and stay ahead of the competition as you research industry trends and synthesize customer feedback. ? Your customer insights will allow us to identify valuable cross-selling opportunities among the products you lead and those of our other portfolio companies. ? Your personal energy, passion, and drive will ensure we consistently produce positive outcomes for our customers. OUR PRODUCT TECHNICAL DIRECTOR WILL BE… ? A technical genius with solid understanding of Enterprise software technologies and with more than 5 years of experience in direct hands on coding culminating in a prior technical team leadership role. ? A Computer Science expert with extensive experience in data structures, algorithms, operating systems and databases. ? An expert programmer with strong programming foundation and experience in at least one of Java, C, C++ or .Net. ? Accomplished software professional with experience of current software development practices and tools including virtual environments, source control, remote development, issue tracking, build and test automation, and networking management. ? A product specialist with flair for technical presentations, who is adept at hosting technical webinars and creating compelling artifacts and demonstrations of features and use cases that should be valued by our customers. ? A Computer Science and Engineering graduate from a top technical university who most likely also is a Post Graduate in Computer Sc or Management Studies. ? A confident and committed individual with passion for complex technical challenges and products. In addition, this role has the following non-skill related requirements: ? Video - candidates must have the computer hardware and networking bandwidth to conduct a seamless video Skype conversation for team communication. Ongoing use of webcam for odesk billing and Skype video are required. ? Full Time - This job is only offered for a Full Time basis (40 hrs/wk).
