As I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s (in America), I witnessed the hip hop, r&b, alternative, and rap evolutions and those years are being played out again here in parts of Eastern Europe. Especially the old East vs West rap paradigm; it is really big. To make it even more intriguing is that this is happening along with a continued popularity for the more traditional music as well. Hi, I'm Martin from the Philippines, had been playing for a few band's for quite a while now and since age of 15, I've been in and out of the scene, I currently have a band that I've been playing with since 2010. I've met many people on the underground scene. I am not a writer, but I would like to share bands in our country, the hard working ones, we have districts, cities. Bands that represents each of it. Culture plus the Influence that results to just a big disappointment as to why these bands cant get a little spot light, I don't really care If I get this Job, but please look around the underground scene of the Philippines. I would like to help them get some spotlight from the long battle versus the Main stream bands. If you'd let me get this job, I might fail -a lot, but I believe if I put much effort on it. my writing skills would improve, and I can make these underated underground bands get their well deserved spotlight.
