158542 How does the internet work?

I'm looking for someone to write me a step by step description/guide of how the internet works. The audience are children aged from 8 to 14 so it will need to be simplistic and easy to follow with no complicated words and any technology terms acurately exlained. The description needs to be written with FUN in mind. I dont need any graphics for this just a fun but educational description. The script you write will then be passed to my creative team who will turn this into an animated presentation to be given in an school. I'll need the report in a step by step form - so no long essay. You might want to break this down into sections and then write it chunks, for example starting with how the internet is constructed and talking about networks and broadband etc. The content is entirely up to the writer and you can write it in anyway that you like but it must must must be written with children in mind!! I'd like to get the following concepts in the description - - Future of the Internet - Different ways to connect to the internet - ISP's - Problems and issues with the internet (porn, security) - Network architecutre of the internet - The Difference between WWW (software) and the internet (hardware) - Different browsers - internet explorer This is not a definative list - merely some ideas that would be good to include. Remeber i am not looking for an essay to be written but a simple and fun guide to what the internet is and does. The length of this is entirely down to the writer. I am anticipating the presentation should take up no more that 15-20 minutes so there will need to be enough content written but i'm not going to give a set word length. It'll need to be written in English, so you grasp of English language should be good. I'm very felxible and will give good support/feedback to the winning bidder. Ultimately, i'll let you get on with the job so if you think you can do it, i'll give you the project and let you get on with the work without being picky or difficult. This is quite an easy project, in simple terms just write somethign that will tell kids how the internet works in a fun and interesting way!!! I just don't have time to do it myself. This is the first of these presentations, but there will be many many more with topics such as graphic/web design, internet gaming, how a computer works etc. So if you make a good job of this one i'll definately have more work for you in the next few months.
