AngularJS - Change expression on both Entering and Leaving ui-views, ngAnimate, TweenMax

I have this Plunkr - [url removed, login to view]

I am trying to create a carousel type transition effect using, which is mostly setup:

- ngAnimate

- TweenMax

- ui-router

- ui-router-extras

Basically i would like the view(s) to navigate like this, but not using ng-click, as i need it to respond to "back" and "forward" browser buttons.

When viewing the DOM on class and view change, the 'entering' view gets the updated class, but the leaving view remains the same. This doesn't seem to happen when using ng-click.
