ARM firmware with LINUX for DE10-Nano board A. Play with the evaluation board 1. Project Owner will provide a P0496 ARM Processor base on Cyclone V SE FPGA computer board (DE10-Nano board). The board will have Ethernet port and SD card. 2. Developer needs to prepare LINUX Kernel to run on embedded computer board with Ethernet TCP/IP to connect with the host PC. 3. Developer needs to prove that he/she can transfer image from the SD card to the host PC. To test the feature, we will prepare a list of pictures001, pictures002, ..., pictures010 in the SD card, plug the SD card to the DE10-Nano board, press a button, a moment later the PC will has thse pictures. B. Working on the final system: 1. Project Owner will design a Cyclone V SE ARM processor base, similar to the evaluation board, which has an Ethernet port, SD port and interface with the X-ray camera. 2. Developer needs to review the architect with Project Owner, to make sure that it is compatible with the evaluation board. 3. Developer needs to port over the firmware to the Project Owner Embedded computer board, and make it runs as in the evaluation board. 4. Developer needs to work with Project Owner to X-ray camera interface working. Project Owner will work on the hardware architect, developer need to work on the LINUX firmware architect to interface with the data from the X-ray camera. 5. Developer needs to support Project Owner on the firmware site to make the X-ray camera working as a system like this: a. When the X-ray camera capture pictures, it will transfer the pictures to the FPGA. b. Firmware will store the pictures to the SD card. c. When the X-ray camera stop working, the firmware will transfer the pictures toe the host PC. C. Timeline 1. Make the evaluation working: 10% payment 2. Make the Project Owner Embedded computer board working as the evaluation board: 20% more (30% total) 3. Making the X-ray camera interface working: 20% more (50% total) 4. Making the X-ray camera interface working perfectly: 20% more (70% total) 5. Transfer the knowledge to Project Owner: 20% more (90% total) 6. Support Project Owner 1 more week for any extra problem, question: pay in full.

Hello, my name's Jorge, you may remember me. I saw once you posted the project but with "Android" and I thought you were still wondering which was the best approach for the system architecture. Probably you have a better vision by now, and that's why you are considering a Linux kernel, to communicate directly with host pc, and additional digital requirements completed using the fpga side of the device. I was programming on different platform such as STM32XXX (ARM Core M0 M1 M2 M3), Arduinos (Atmega), Ti MSP400, PIC32F, 8051, Allwinner ARM A53 (64 bits), TI DM3730 (A8 Core) iMx6 (Cortex A7) and so on... Also I have a great experience with FPGA (Spartan SP6) and SOC such as Zynq-7000 and the DE10-Standard. I have been developing softwares/firmware/drivers on different kind of environment, baremetal (no-OS), embedded Real Time OS (FreeRTOS, ChibiOS, Zephyr) and Linux Kernel drivers. In addition, I own all needed devices to debug and solve issue during the development (osciiloscopes, multi meter, welding devices etc...). During my previous experiences, I was creating multi-layer PCBs from scratch. I was in charge of the schematics/routing/manufacturing. I own Altium Designer which is the most famous CAD for electronic PCB. I am a motivated/communicative/thorough person and I will do everything to deliver a work of quality on time. Hi Empployer.. The profile of your solution sounds great its the new way to implement Hardware on Software with flexibility, these could be nice to update the hardware features in the HDL or VERILOG file to update the performance on hardware architecture. About the software, I've experience implementing UNIX and LINUX OS trying to be Real Time OS. With experience connecting the IPC (Inter Process Communication) with drivers that will manage your X Ray Hardware efficiently. My background has been implemented drivers design using C language with efficiency. Each interaction will be debugged using Jlink on SWO and Synchrone SWD to debug the performance of process vs drivers connections. Could be nice to know if you have the Digitial Processing Algorithm to process the XRay info or will be necessary to develop implement a Discrete Way to process the info.
