After Effects Expressions: Create wind direction and speed dials.

I am interested in animating wind speed and direction dials in After Effects. I "data log" wind speed and direction during video collection and wish the dials to indicate the current speed and direction during playback. The data (.json) contains several parameters (only two of which are wind speed and direction); wind speed is indicated in tenths (e.g. 14.1) and direction is indicated in degrees (magnetic or true makes no difference). A challenge is that I log every second, so over an hour this amounts to 3600 data points; the data needs to be polled each consecutive second of playback to update the direction and speed graphic. Will need several Variables and a polling Method for each dial. If this works well we'll talk about indicators for other parameters as well (Relative Humidity, Temperature, Time, Density Altitude, Heat Index).
