My mother is elderly and has a home rental business. She has approximately 15 houses she rents. She keeps all her receipts for expenditures maintaining the rental units and tracks the income each unit receives. Each unit has a separate file. All receipts are organized by property but the receipts need to be organized by what the receipt was for such as electrical, air conditioning, plumbing maintenance, pest control, etc. or was it a capital expenditure over $500. Once this is organized it can be given to a CPA for an annual tax filing.
Since the receipts are all hard copies, the applicant must be local to Houston, Texas.
