Dear English at Work,
I am excited by your project. I have bid relatively low, as I have no feedback on Freelancer yet.
* Understanding of your project needs:
- Task: Training one student in B2 English with Business.
- Timescale: 9am-5pm, Monday 12th- Friday 16th September 2011 for teaching PLUS a 4hour excursion to a London landmark on Saturday 17th September 2011. In total, the teaching will take 40-50hours.
- Location: Precise location in London has not yet been specified
- Reimbursements: The costs of the excursion & 2 dinners, for both the student and teacher, will be reimbursed.
* Specific skills I have to satisfy those needs:
- I am a native English speaker and very familiar with learning languages. I am half-English, half-Swedish. I speak Swedish, Italian, and French, and I am currently learning Japanese.
- I am accustomed to teaching English as a foreign language. My wife is Japanese, and whilst she spoke English well when we met, I have helped her improve and successfully apply her skills in business. I have also helped numerous others improve their business English.
- I am experienced in business, through founding and running my own consultancy (Wax RDC Ltd). I have a very good knowledge of business language applicable in different situations such as customer engagement, working with suppliers, negotiation, accounts and tax etc.
- I prepare materials and teach undergraduate and postgraduate students at University level.
- I am based just outside London near Guildford, Surrey and so can easily teach in London 9am-5pm, and stay later for dinner when required.
* Your experience completing similar or relevant projects
- I prepare lesson plans, materials and training packs for my teaching at University level, and am accustomed at researching new material to supplement materials, as required.
- I teach at University and have helped numerous native-English and non-native speakers improve their English skills in day-to-day life and business.
Best regards,
Casper
